Replacing my radiatior tomorrow since it’s leaking at a good rate now. Shipped ridiculously fast via rockauto as always. It was only like $80 shipped and it should just take a couple hours to change it out. I’m also throwing a P0126 code now (thermostat is reading a lower coolant temp than the temp sensor or something like that) but I will replace the radiator before I try to source that one. It is likely related anyways but could be thermostat fouled up as well.

Tstat is sticking open, usually sets a P0128. Means the coolant is not reaching the temp that the pcm wants it to. It can be caused by several things actually but 90% of the time its the tstat.

Well yeah the car was taking abnormally long to heat up so I figured the thermostat was sticking open and triggering the code. Kind of a silly code since it’s obvious the temp gauge is not increasing as it should. But I was thinking the radiator being bad had caused it instead. I should have just ordered a thermostat too though since I’ll be taking that off anyways to change the radiator. Too bad the auto parts stores aren't open at 630am lol.

You can make it extra exciting and try and change it with the engine running. It would be more like an actual organ transplant! haha
